Laurel Williams
Laurel Williams is a passionate and dedicated dance instructor with 10 years of teaching experience in a wide range of dance styles, including hip hop, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, acro, step-dancing, and ballet. Known for being an energetic and fun part of the dance community in Fredericton, Laurel works to create an inclusive and supportive environment where students of all ages and skill levels can thrive and express themselves through movement. Growing up surrounded by the dance community, Laurel has been dancing since she could stand! She has had the privilege of traveling to conventions, taking workshops, and training under many skilled industry professionals. For many years, she trained and developed her passion for performing with Bonnie Kilburn’s Dance Centre in Hanwell,
New Brunswick. Laurel obtained a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of New Brunswick and has been certified in Progressing Ballet Technique, Alixa Flexibility, and Acrobatic Arts. In May of 2022, Laurel pursued her lifelong dreams of opening a dance studio called Core Dance Collective with her two business partners Erin McCrea and Aaliyah Hayes. Core currently trains almost 600 dancers in the Fredericton area. As a teacher, Laurel is dedicated to helping students develop not only their technical skills but also their artistry, creativity, and confidence. Laurel emphasizes the importance of building a strong foundation, fostering self-discipline, and encouraging personal growth. With a passion for the art form and a heart for teaching, Laurel is excited to share her love of dance with the next generation of performers.
